We have many software which allows to upload files from computer to iPhone, but very few which allows us to access our Shared Files and Folders directly on iPhone. FileBrowser from Stratospherix is one such application which uses SMB File Transfer Protocol and allows you to access shared locations of your Windows, Linux, Mac or Network Drives (NAS).
Anything File or Folder which is shared on your network can be directly accessed on you iPhone without copying files. This makes it very easy to browse through the files and open Photos or videos on mobile without wasting your mobile storage.
FileBrowser is not a free application and will cost you $4.99, however you can try NetPortalLite for free which is also from Stratospherix, but it allows opening of only PDF and image files.
FileBrowser is an universal application and supports both iPhone and iPad.
